'Ray' Grenache 2023

Saep is the Adelaide Hills project of grower-winemaker Dave Gartelmann, a committed organic and biodynamic farmer who also grows fruit for producers like Gentle Folk and Jauma. ‘Ray’ comes from Jim Zerella’s Ryan Road vineyard on the Willunga escarpment, where ancient mixed geologies and cooling gully breezes give depth and freshness. Whole bunch, wild fermented and aged in old oak with minimal sulphur.

Juicy red cherry and cranberry meet citrus pith and crushed rock. Medium weight with fine tannin and savoury length.

Perfect with lamb skewers, wood-fired vegetables or long table dinners outdoors.
