Millton Vineyard & Winery was established in 1984 by James and Annie Millton on the banks of the Te Arai River near Manutuke in Gisborne, becoming New Zealand’s first certified organic and biodynamic wine estate. Their approach is deeply rooted in thoughtful viticulture and minimal intervention, using hand harvesting, indigenous ferments and gentle handling to let site and fruit shine.

Lifted lime zest, quince and floral gardenia notes lead into a taut, mineral-driven palate with bright acidity and textured weight. The finish is dry and persistent with a saline edge that reflects the Pacific influence on the nearby vineyards.

Perfect with crab, goat’s cheese tartlets or soft pâté on sourdough.
