Heroes Dry Riesling 2025

Lime sorbet. Verbena. Green pear.

James Thomas makes Heroes from a mature, dry-grown vineyard in the Otway Hinterland, which he and Eloise took on in 2016. The site is organically farmed and zero-till, with Riesling among the original 1999 plantings. The 2024 Dry Riesling was wild fermented in stainless steel and bottled without fining.

Dry and racy: lime sorbet, sherbet, verbena and green pear, with a long finish. Dry and racy, lovely acidity, stays fresh for days.

Perfect with sushi, Thai salads, oysters and grilled prawns.
