Frankland Estate is a family-run winery in Western Australia’s remote Frankland River, founded in 1988 and widely regarded as one of the region’s great vineyards. The Isolation Ridge vineyard surrounds the winery itself, farmed organically on ironstone-rich soils. Alter Weg, meaning “the old way”, is fermented with wild yeast in large old oak and aged on lees to build texture and depth.

Ripe citrus, tangerine and lime peel unfold with subtle spice and a gentle savoury edge. The palate is mineral yet generous, balancing juicy fruit with saline freshness and a softly textural finish.

Excellent with grilled fish, spicy Asian dishes or fresh oysters. Also perfect for long coastal lunches with friends.
