Morgon Corcelette 2023

Red cherry. Raspberry. Violet. Wet granite.

Morgon specialist Daniel Bouland works quietly in the hills around Villié-Morgon, tending old bush-vine Gamay largely on his own. The Corcelette cuvée comes from sandy granitic soils and vines averaging around 60 years old, hand-harvested and fermented whole-bunch with indigenous yeasts in Bouland’s traditional, minimal-intervention style.

Bright red fruit and floral perfume glide through a supple palate with fine tannins and lively acidity. Juicy, elegant and beautifully transparent.

Perfect with roast chicken, charcuterie or a slight chill.
