AOC Côtes du Jura Blanc "Novelin" Sous Voile 2020

Green walnut. Lemon peel. Toasted almond. Saline spice.

Jura vigneron Didier Grappe farms just a few hectares in Saint-Lothain, working organically (certified since 2007) with a strict natural philosophy in both vineyard and cellar. ‘Novelin’ comes from a tiny one-hectare Chardonnay plot planted in 1975 on marl and limestone soils, aged for around a year sous voile in old barrels to build savoury depth and tension.

Citrus peel, nutty oxidative notes and gentle spice move through a textured, saline palate with long, Jura-style persistence.

Perfect with Comté, roast chicken or mushroom dishes.
