Doug Lilburne makes Mise en Place from Steels Creek in the Yarra Valley, after a career that began in kitchens in upstate New York and later took him through winegrowing on California’s Sonoma Coast. Those years shaped his commitment to organic viticulture, which now runs through both his home vineyard and the sites he works with across Victoria.

Barrel-fermented on full solids for 12 months, pushing Sauvignon Blanc into a more savoury textural register. Waxy almond, nashi pear, citrus peel. Lovely expression of Sauvignon Blanc.
